Day Seven: A Resume Ungilded
The adventurers had come through a great deal of hardship to reach this point, but in the end they all wanted the kingdom for themselves. The kingdom was not yet won, however, and finishing off the last of the Dragonlord’s followers would surely be a gold star on a potential King’s resume. The fearsome Auralynx had endured many battles to reach this point, but not without consequence. He was wounded and and an easy target for any would be hero. He was not without a few tricks up his sleeve. As the circle closed on him, he pulled H3Knuckles in front of him, and the townsfolk beat both of them to death.
El Skid saluted the pretenders locked together in death. He patted a sack of herbs on his side and turned to have a most interesting conversation. Later, with a sense of urgency, he threw himself into the sea. He kept looking behind him almost as if he was trying to escape from someone, or something. As he sank someone or something ripped and tore at his body, darkening the water.
